Apopka Youth Council
About the Council
The Apopka Youth Council (AYC) is an opportunity for youth with a passion for their community to provide perspective, presence and participation in local government. During the 2023/2024 academic year, Apopka Youth Council Members will be challenged to Serve, Grow, and Engage.
- Serve: Youth Council Members will see first and foremost what it means to be a public servant. Members will have a hands-on opportunity to plan and participate in service projects that will benefit the citizens of our great city.
- Engage: Youth Council Members will learn how their city functions and see how they can be active participants to impact change on a local level. They will be a direct link between City Council and the youth of Apopka.
- Grow: Youth Council Members will participate in a speaker series where community leaders will share their stories and challenge them to develop leadership skills.
