The Emergency Response Team (ERT) performs many roles such as crowd control and/or containment, crowd surveillance, crowd dispersal, crowd blocking, perimeter security, and the manning of checkpoints. The ERT may also work in conjunction with the Apopka Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team if the situation merits such a response.
