Farewell to Commissioner Bankson
Family and friends gathered to say goodbye to Commissioner Bankson at his last City Council meeting. Commissioner Bankson was elected to serve as Apopka's newest representative in the Florida Legislature for District 39. 
City Hall Honors Veterans Day
City Hall honored the Marines Birthday and Veterans Day by lighting City Hall red, white and blue. 
Commissioner Becker Sworn In
Commissioner Becker was sworn in to replace Commissioner Bankson for Seat 3 on the City Council. 
State of the City Address
Mayor Nelson gave his annual State of the City Address at the Apopka Community Center. Thank you to the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce for hosting this special event. It is a great way for residents to find out more about the community! 
Employee Holiday Food Drive
Thank you to the City employees and students in the Apopka Youth Council that donated to Loaves and Fishes Thanksgiving Food Drive! Your generosity is much appreciated. 
Retired Marine
Retired Marine Lou Boria walked from Zellwood Station to the Apopka Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10147 in honor of the Marine Core's Birthday Ball.

For National Diabetes Awareness Month, City Hall was illuminated blue to honor the occasion.
