Apopka Fire Department's Swearing In Ceremony
The Apopka Fire Department held a Swearing In Ceremony for its recent new hires. Welcome to the team!

Clydesdale Horses in Apopka
The Clydesdales traveled to Kit Land Nelson Park to honor the memory of fallen Firefighter Austin Duran as part of the holiday events at the park.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
The City of Apopka kicked off the holiday season with the annual tree lighting ceremony at Kit Land Nelson Park.

Apopka Arts in the Park Festival
Residents were treated to music by local students as they enjoyed food and craft vendors at the Apopka Arts in the Park Festival at the Apopka Amphitheater.

Jingle Mingle Tree Festival
The City, in partnership with the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida, hosted the Jingle Mingle Tree Festival at Camp Wewa. Proceeds will help provide scholarships for children with epilepsy to attend summer camp. Special thank you to the Apopka High School Chorus for singing songs of the season at the event!

Carolers at City Hall
Thank you to Christian Learning Academy for stopping by City Hall to bring Christmas cheer to employees and visitors alike.

Shop with a Cop
The Apopka Police Department (APD) held their annual Shop with a Cop event to help families in need by providing Christmas toys for the holiday. Thank you to APD for making the holidays brighter for local families!

Wekiva High School Culinary Program
The students in Wekiva High School's Culinary Program catered the City's Employee Holiday Luncheon and did a fantastic job! Thank you, Chef Bates, for all that you do teaching today's students to become tomorrow's culinary professionals.

Holiday Pops Concert
The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra held their annual Holiday Pops Concert at the Amphitheater. It was quite a crowd on a beautiful night listening to the orchestra bring holiday classics to life. Special thank you to our Recreation Department staff for your hard work making all of the holiday events so successful!

Nutcracker Christmas at the Museum of Apopkans
The Apopka Historical Society hosted their 2nd Annual Nutcracker Christmas at the museum. A festive, family event enjoyed by all!

City Employee Holiday Donation Drive

Wreaths Across America Ceremony
The Veterans of Foreign War Post 10147 and the City of Apopka hosted the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony to honor veterans by placing wreaths on their graves at Edgewood Greenwood Cemetery.
