Apopka Youth Council's Wellness Event
The Apopka Youth Council hosted a teen mental wellness event for local students to engage in mental health discussions in honor of World Teen Mental Wellness Day.

Apopka Police Department's Swearing-In Ceremony
The Apopka Police Department held a swearing-in ceremony for its newest officers, Officer Tomlin and Officer Ruister Jose Acevedo. Welcome aboard! In addition, Officer Amanda Merrill and Officer Kenny Lucas were also sworn in for reserve status.

Propagate Social House's Announcement
Propagate Social House made the exciting announcement that they have purchased the former Hall's Feed Store and will be turning it into a restaurant and meeting place in downtown Apopka! It is very exciting to see another restaurant coming to the Apopka area. Congratulations Propagate!

Florida League of Mayors Regional Event
Mayor Nelson hosted a regional event for the Florida League of Mayors highlighting the City of Apopka and nearby ecotourism attractions such as the Wekiva River. Twelve mayors attended the event representing areas of Central and South Florida. Special thanks to Wekiva Island for hosting the event.

Planning Commission Retirement
Mayor Nelson presented a proclamation to Linda Laurendeau thanking her for her years of service on the City's Planning Commission. In addition to the Planning Commission, Linda volunteers for several civic organizations and dedicates many hours helping others in the community. Thank you for all that you do, Linda!

Congressman Webster's Mobile Office
Congressman Webster's Office has a mobile office at City Hall on the third Thursday of every month from 8:30 AM to 11 AM for constituents needing assistance with federal matters. The City is excited to partner with the Congressman's office to bring this service to our constituents.

Micross Grand Opening
Micross, a company that serves the Aerospace & Defense, Space, Medical, Industrial & Commercial markets with the most comprehensive range of hi-reliability microelectronic components and services, held a grand opening ceremony for its newest location in Apopka bringing 140 high-paying jobs to the community!

Apopka Fire Department's Swearing-In Ceremony
The Fire Department welcomed 14 new recruits in a swearing-in ceremony. Welcome aboard!
